Markdown to HTML converter

Paste Markdown, get clean semantic HTML you can drop into a CMS, blog template or email. Conversion runs locally.

Key features

Fragment or full document

Export just the body markup for a CMS, or a complete HTML file with doctype and styles.

Sanitised by default

Script tags, inline event handlers and javascript: URLs are stripped so the output is safe to publish.

Readable class names

Headings, tables and code blocks keep predictable markup, so your own stylesheet applies cleanly.

Frequently asked questions

Does the converter support GitHub Flavored Markdown?

Yes — tables, task lists, strikethrough, autolinks and fenced code blocks are all converted. Footnotes and raw HTML blocks are handled too.

Will the HTML keep my code block languages?

Fenced blocks become <code class="language-xxx">, so any highlighter such as highlight.js or Prism can pick up the language automatically.

Can I use the output in an email?

Yes. Copy the fragment output and paste it into your email builder, or use the full document option and host it as a static page.
